Publisher's Synopsis
After working his way through a doctorate, Rex is stuck in the worst job of his life. He has adventures as he tries to work his way through it then on to other jobs and adventures. Finally he finds happiness in California and has a life there before returning to the Oklahoma where he started from. In Oklahoma, he must try to understand why he left and why he came back.
