Publisher's Synopsis
After a highly secret search and destroy mission deep in the jungle of Colombia goes badly wrong, Mark Rea one of two survivors returns to base to take revenge on the betrayer. His action sets in motion a conflict between two major agencies, one the USA and one the UK. At its centre Mark becomes a pawn in a power struggle. He is discharged from the British army and thrown out of the country he had come to love and regard as home. Mark starts a new simple life of travelling in mainland Europe. There he is tracked down in Spain by men whose orders are to kill him. In Spain, on top of what was to become known as Mystery Mountain, he meets Pedro, a strange man of indiscernible age. Pedro becomes more than a friend and offers him a new life, which would mean for Mark, walking away from all he knows, even his friends and family and will have far reaching consequences. For Mark a very difficult choice to make.
