It will be Obferved - tha't I have adverted in the courfe of the following pages to Mr. Malone: and ifthe animadv crfions fhould be deemed irrelevant, I trufi, that no Other apology is hecefi'ary, than the Intimation already given, of my having intend ed this Vindication as ah introduetion to the work ai luded to, and therefore that it was a more eligible plan, not to make any deviation from the method, I at firf't deter mined upon purf'uing.
