Growing up in the backwoods of the Appalachian mountains in southern Virginia did much to prepare Lizzie Goodman for the challenge of defeating a growing corruption. Unsophisticated, but very intelligent, she was born with what some may call a gift, others call a curse: she unwillingly travels out of body to other locations. After witnessing a murder far from her home while Traveling, a series of tragic events is unleashed in her home town. Lizzie knows who is behind the trouble but can't risk telling the authorities for fear of being branded an accomplice or worse, dangerously delusional. Lizzie sets out to find the "Ice Man" and bring him to justice on her own, only to find that his plan is bigger and more far-reaching than anyone first realized and could tear the country apart. Lizzie Goodman, daughter of the hills and hollows of the ancient Appalachian mountains uses her gifts given by the Spirit of the mountains and teams up with Special Agent Logan Kane in a wild chase to stop the killer of innocents before he succeeds in destroying the very foundation of a nation.
