'Mindfully Me' introduces children to the fundamentals of mindfulness through melodic rhyme and captivating illustrations, with the aim of promoting healthy social-emotional development and building effective emotional regulation skills.
Key mindfulness principles are described, such as, observation without judgement, acceptance, patience, letting go, gratitude and of course, purposeful attention to the present moment experience. In this way, children learn that mindfulness is so much more than a 'simple meditation' or 'relaxation exercise'. They learn that mindfulness is a quality of being, or an attitude, that can be applied to difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations that inevitably arise day-to-day and moment-to-moment.
