Each year ArtsMemphis partners with chefs and arts organizations to showcase our city's authentic cultural assets to a large audience through innovative and inspiring events in found spaces, museums and private homes. Our 2013 culinary series engaged thirty-four chefs from four states who formed voluntary teams to support the arts . They mixed food, passion and the gift of their time and talent to develop menus and events with grit and grace-Memphis style.The chefs, artists, arts groups, hosts, venues and stylists created events that gave guests a taste of the creative cultural currency that is all our own. All but a soupçon of this collective commitment was either,gifted, donated or volunteered.
