Publisher's Synopsis
Read a portion of Me vs tha Church below. This comes from the list of 70 things that I question, have concerns about, thoughts about and more in relation to my experiences with churches and religions:14)There are poor people that give all they have to their church from cash, coins, credit cards, bill money and more. You can see some of these same low-income church members walking to and from church, miles, and miles away. It seems as if the wealthier church members either ignore or don't care about their low-income church members. The higher class church members look fabulous next to the pastor, the first lady, and their mega team for photos. What is this saying about "caring and taking care of the elderly and poor?"16)When I was reading and studying my bible regularly, I noticed that I was reading more frequently than people who were known as "People of the Church". I was also surprised to learn that there are church people that will only read their bibles while they are at church. The bible is put away when they arrive at home and it is not pulled out again until the next church service. I was also surprised to learn that church folks can be heavily AND actively in the church while at the same time, live a life of SIN, SIN, and SIN-BIG TIME! With no conscience...how could this be so, if their God is everywhere how could their conscience (Holy Ghost) not attach them to TURN BACK TO GOD? Do people like this rely on the bible scripture that reads something about God is a forgiving God and you can sin, ask for forgiveness and this pattern repeats until death?
