Based on more than 50 interviews with workers in both criminalized sex industries and in the decriminalized trade in the Netherlands, this book presents a political and sociological analysis of commercial sex industries worldwide. It attempts to explore the different political and feminist agendas which promote female erotic labour, or silence its objectors. The book juxtaposes accounts by "high-class call girls", teenage street prostitutes, anti-prostitution feminists and sex radical porn stars. It includes an examination of international prostitution policy.
