Publisher's Synopsis

The shipwreck of an ill-advised quest for glory.
Carter Bradshaw, a struggling screen writer, finds that Disney Studios has released a movie that's very similar to a screenplay of his. To settle the problem, Disney commissions Carter to write a new screenplay. Carter meets Sam Cohen, a world renowned physicist from the atomic bomb days, who convinces Carter that a two thousand-year-old apparition landed in his back yard to induce him to run for President on a rid-the-world-of-nukes platform. The strange man knows that Sam has a secret formula that will render nuclear weapons useless. An added incentive for Cohen is the mystery man's ability to make him younger and younger. Gretta Green, a beautiful reporter hoping for a Pulitzer, along with her TV producer and cameraman, join Carter and Cohen on a cross-country RV adventure, with misfits they meet along the way. Their destination is Madison Square Garden where Cohen will give out his formula to the world. What they don't know is a number of devious agencies do not want Cohen to get there alive.
