They waited silently, each man in his own thoughts. After what seemed like hours, Doctor Ray Campbell came into the waiting room. As Jericho, Asa, and Abner came to their feet, Jericho asked, "well, Ray?"
Ray Campbell looked solemn and replied, "we almost lost her, Jerry. She had a temp of one-hundred and four. We got her temperature down and she's resting comfortable now."
All three men, replied, "thank God."
Doctor Campbell said, "yeah, she got lucky."
