Low-budget Mexican documentary following the lives of a group of road workers involved in the building of a vast motorway overpass in Mexico City. The stars of the film are a tight-knit band of blue-collar workers whose jobs often involve significant risk and hardship and yet pay very little. Still, the men oil the wheels of their daily grind with humour and camaraderie in the knowledge that they must carry on supporting their families, come what may.
