Part 3 - Sasaki's Second When the Japanese conquest of China drives Eddie to the Philippines, he finds an American protectorate impervious to the war close by. To fit in, he works as a writer for a local newspaper and hooks up with a nightclub singer who gets his mind off his family killed by Japanese bombs in China. But the bubble bursts when the Japanese attack Pearl Harbour and invade the Philippines. With the landing force, comes his nemesis, the Kempeitai officer sworn to kill him.
