This work provides guidance on how IT service management personnel can be most effectively organized, by providing a framework of functions, as described in other modules, and describing interfaces to other parts of the IT directorate. The skills and experience of staff required to manage functions are detailed. The module concentrates on functions rather than staff posts, since the latter is greatly influenced by the size of the organization, although it will indicate which functions can be combined in a single job.
