"Unfortunately my dreams were crushed by the schizophrenia. For a long time though I was very bitter about autism because I thought autism was ruining my dreams because of what was happening to me. All of the strange behaviors that I was exhibiting throughout my early to mid 20's were not because I had autism but they were because I had schizophrenia. It was so hard for me to focus on things and I lost my ability to focus on playing the trombone. It was almost as if the schizophrenia started fighting the autism and they were battling each other and I was confused as to what was what. I saw my life falling apart in front of me but I had no idea what was causing it other than the fact that I was diagnosed with autism in 2007. I had nothing else to blame except for the autism so I took the easy way out and blamed the Autism."
