Publisher's Synopsis

A four-volume set of US feature comedies. In 'Home Alone' (1990) ten-year-old Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) is banished to his room while his family prepare for a Christmas trip to Europe. He wakes up to find they have inadvertently left without him. Kevin must cope not only with life on his own but also with the threat of two persistent, albeit incompetent, burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern). Meanwhile, his mother (Catherine O'Hara) vainly tries to find a way to get back home. In the sequel, 'Home Alone 2' (1992), Kevin (Culkin) gets separated from his family at Christmas time again. This time, they're in Florida and he's in New York, and the two bumbling gangsters from the first movie (Pesci and Stern) are out of jail and on Kevin's trail. 'The Sandlot' (1993) tells the story of the friendship between two 12-year old boys, Scotty (Tom Guiry) and Benny (Mike Vitar), in Salt Lake City in 1962. When Scotty and his family move to town, he manages to get a place in a local baseball team that plays in a sandlot out the back of his house, thanks to the engineering of a catch by the team's best player, Benny. As the summer progresses, the two boys become good friends while having occasional adventures with the next-door neighbour's terrifying dog - The Beast. Finally, in the sequel 'The Sandlot 2' (2005), set ten years after the original story, the local dirt field is now 'home' to a new group of neighbourhood children who get together to share laughs, show off and play baseball. The kids face a tough challenge when they try to retrieve an irreplaceable model rocket that has landed in the junkyard behind left field - a forbidden territory guarded by the legendary slobbering beast known as 'The Great Fear'.
