My mother, our Gran was an amazing cook, having trained at Trinity College in Dublin. My childhood was full of delicious aromas, full tummies and amazing tastes. I have compiled here some of her recipes so that they are saved for future generations to enjoy as much as I did. There are no pretty pictures to guide you, and the recipes use lots of measures such as 'pinch' 'breakfast cup' and so on - just as she related them to me. They us ingredients which were staples during the depression and war years - but the food produced is delicious and nutritious - comfort food for a family.
