Publisher's Synopsis
From Famine to Feast is a collection of essays about eating disorders and recovery. The author has struggled with bulimia and related comorbidities for nearly forty years. These writings are part of the work of recovery. The first piece, "My Eating Disorder Rules, Of Which There are Many," introduces the reader to some of the realities of bulimia, an eating disorder still not widely understood. Education is essential: eating disorder sufferers are more likely to die than non-sufferers by a factor of twelve. Also included are pieces about body dysmorphia, anxiety, and recovery.
