Mike's mad poker skills have been so wildly unsuccessful he's sleeping in the backseat of his car for lack of a better roof. Bad run of cards. Dream-crushing bad. So when a supernatural trickster offers a ten-grand stake in exchange for a few simple errands, he's almost all in. Not quite, though, till his everything, Amy, finds herself in a jam. Amy? The cards haven't been kind to her, either. She's squatting in her ex-boyfriend's flat while the cheating bastard vacations in Haiti with the woman he left her for. Rock bottom, right? And that's before she sells her soul to Russian mobsters for a boatload of counterfeit chips. Bad move, Amy. Mike swallows hard and says no to the poker stake. He'll sell his soul for a shot at bailing her out, instead. Hold on, though. The trickster sends him careening backward through time, as in Rounders meets Memento. Mike falls farther and farther behind while Amy gets deeper and deeper into trouble . . . well beyond our hero's reach. Until he performs the errands, and all hell breaks loose.
