Living with wild animals can be a learning experience for human beings. In this story, Ducky Lucky, a beautiful male mallard loses his mate to predators. Alexandra observed first hand the emotional setback that Ducky Lucky experienced as a result of losing his mate Lucy Duck. She learned that wild animals have feelings almost like human beings. They mourn loss and finally recover to build new friendships, sometimes with the most unlikely candidates. This is what happened to Ducky Lucky and how he survived a deep loss.
