The perfect genetic weapon has been created, and now, she has escaped. Richard McDermott has achieved success after years of failure in creating a clone made of liquid DNA from the cells of his sister who is currently dying of cancer. His creature would be able to assimilate any individual and take their place and to be controlled by those in power. With advances in thought transference, the creature is also able to retain memories of the person it has assimilated. The creature is filled with nanites and injected with two microchips for easier control. Another scientist, disgusted with what Richard is doing, cracks the password and gives the creature back her own will and helps it escape. It assimilates the female Science Czar staying at the facility and escapes into the night. The scientist is found out, beaten, and ultimately killed. Richard is forced to call his father in for help. Doug McDermott has long since been out of the agency responsible for hunting down genetic mistakes that have escaped their creators. Doug is sent out after her, saddled with two agents that are there to make sure the job gets done, and then kill him. Other agents are dispatched to also kill Richard's mother, and his sister's family, at his command. As Doug hunts the clone, he discovers it is that of his dying daughter. The two form a pact, and eventually kill one agent, while Jean's clone assimilates the other, unaware that female DNA can not assimilate male DNA. She begins to get sick. Leading the agency on a chase that goes from Arizona to Canada and back into Kansas, Doug and clone Jean keep one step ahead. During an episode between Doug and Jean's clone, she inadvertently gives Doug some of her cells. The result is Doug is suddenly years younger, and every positive gene in his body has been employed by the nanites. Back at Emily's house, Jean assimilates into the male agent. Inside she loses control. She kills the male agent and assimilates the female agent. Doug goes upstairs and shocks his wife at how young and physically fit he is. Downstairs, Jean spits out all the DNA of the male agent and leaves behind a physically and mentally stunted creature. Doug kills it, and drags it into the garage. Emily accepts her as Jean, and once more, Jean's clone sends some of her cells into her mother. Looking like the female agent, her and her father go to see the real Jean. Doug tells the clone to help Jean, and the clone Jean gives the real Jean some of her cells. On the way out, the agents that had been watching the real Jean give chase, but they are unable to find either of them. Jean assimilates into another shape, drawing on all the DNA from the various women she has assimilated, and Doug looks nothing like they expect him to be. With other agents coming, and Richard wanting more than blood, Doug and Jean must figure out a way to end this nightmare once and for all. Filled with action and adventure in a science fiction/thriller mode, Dominant Jean will keep you turning the pages until the shocking climax. Hang on and get ready.
