Publisher's Synopsis
Zadkiel is in Hell. Forced by evil King Ozur to kill Kateria, the love of his life, Zadkiel refuses and does the only thing he can to save her: he tears his halo from his head and damns himself to Hell. Meanwhile, Kateria and her friends arrive in Basaine, the only safe haven magic users. Basaine's president quickly discovers that Kateria is the Destroyer, destined to kill Ozur, treating her like a weapon in her arsenal rathter than a person. Conflicted by her treatment and guilt from being the cause of Zadkiel's fall, Kateria is unable to learn magic. To complicate matters, something dark and powerful is coming for one of her friends, and that something will change all of their lives forever.
