Publisher's Synopsis
This is an explanation of the biblical Apocalypse in a way that is consistent with the understanding of early Christianity and Second Temple Judaism. More than that it is an explanation of what the Book of Revelation really is, the revealing of God's message. What is the truth? We can judge what is true by reason and evidence. In a court of law, the lawyers argue their case and support their arguments with evidence. What is the truth about God? Is He real? Is He the God that inspired the Bible? What is the evidence of that? Some might say that is a matter of faith without evidence. They might point to religious miracles or fulfilled prophecies. Not everybody accepts this sort of thinking. Some may be skeptical about the validity of supernatural events since that sort of evidence probably wouldn't hold up in a court of law. The evidence shown for the God of the Bible is a consistent message. It is not only from the beginning of the Bible but from the beginning of time (Mat 13:35, Acts 15:58). It starts in the first chapter of Genesis. It gets confirmed in the last book, the mysterious book of Revelation. It is the pattern I intend to show. To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. Proverbs 1:6
