The following work is a compilation of the comparative study of three methodologies to improve the surface properties of materials. That is, Corona discharge, Plasma and Flame technologies to enhance the surface energy of plastics as well as some non-plastics to improve their wettability, adhesion and in concise, their characteristics related to packaging. Essel Propack Limited Poland has been the reference industry in this research. The objective is to compare the three methods and propose the best for the stated packaging industry. Each method has been investigated and its salient features have been highlighted. The comparison in the end shows which one could potentially be the best. Some important inferences have also been made.
