About the AuthorDave Fugleberg was born in Nome, Alaska and grew up in the Panama Canal Zone. He has traveled extensively and has lived in New York, Virginia, and California. His undergraduate degree is from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, where he majored in Marine Engineering and Nautical Science. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.Over the years, he has worked in the aerospace, nuclear, and maritime industries in various capacities. These include program and project management, machine design, systems engineering, system test, flight test, and field service. He has had the privilege of working on a wide variety of projects including nuclear reactor refueling, the International Space Station design, space shuttle flight experiments, large rocket engine development, missile defense interceptor system test, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) development and flight test. Dave was awarded the Silver Snoopy from the NASA Astronaut Office for his work on the International Space Station program.
