Publisher's Synopsis
Numbers are the foundation of all math concepts. The Big Book of Number Tracing 0-20 lays a solid foundation for forming numbers using a three-step process, taking children from pre-writing exercises with manipulative workmats, to pictorial association between a set of objects and the numbers they represent, then forming the numbers by hand.
The Big Book of Number Tracing 0-20 addresses these concepts from a number of directions, challenging children to think and understand. The Big Book of Number Tracing is simple enough for children to work through independently. It provides extensive focus on printed number formation beginning at the kindergarten and first grade level.
The full page format presents one number per page---allowing teachers to recognize and focus on any numbers the student may be struggling with. Trace To Write's worksheets and workbooks help children practice writing letters and numbers until they can form them correctly. We've included guided writing lines and arrowed strokes to indicate where each number begins and ends. Numbers 0-20 are each presented for tracing at least 45 times before each free-writing practice page. Once the child has adequately mastered a number, they can then move on to the next one or skip around as comfortable.
Manipulative Workmats 0-20 are included to use with clay, beads, beans, foam, and other materials. The number workmats provide a fun way for students to learn numeral formation while also helping to strengthen fine motor skills. The 0-20 number workmats are a hands-on resource, but you can skip the manipulative activities if they are not needed. The 0-20 number workmats can also be used as finger trace cards to model correct numeral formation. Teachers should instruct students on where to place their fingers and then verbally detail the direction they should proceed in while writing each number.
