Publisher's Synopsis
Emmalise Pine was ten years old when she saw a black man murdered by a white man. Twenty-three years later she discovers who the murderer is, and she wants justice. She seeks the help of Sheriff Parker Dade and Deputy Sam Kincaid to clear this Woodford County cold case. Emmalise wants to be involved, and she gradually builds a team of searchers who find a story of bigotry and abuse that has been hidden for too long.
