Publisher's Synopsis

The adventures and experiences recorded in this book are real life events. For years, I have kept secret from the world what struggles I have endured, and what home life of a traditional Arabic family truly looks like.

This has now changed. The truth is coming out. For the record, I prefer not to be labeled as an Arab, even though I was born in Iraq. My parents have scarred me for life, hence I prefer to be known as the British guy, who is easy-going, embraces diversity and inclusion, liberal, and loves life in general.

I highly encourage anyone who is currently struggling with the strictness of their traditional family to read this book. Strict parents are the real bullies that you have to deal with. It could give you insight into what may be in store for you later down the road. Alternatively, it could inspire action for you to take, knowing that I've managed to escape a controlling and mentally-abusing family.

This book is part of a series. There will be follow-up narratives to complete the remainder of my life experiences. I hope that these narratives will support you in any way possible, whether this be in the form of knowing that someone else has experienced similar struggles, or even contacting me (see Afterword section) so that I can help guide you through your own personal struggles. I want to make a positive impact to the world. I want to do this by positively influencing as many struggling souls as I possibly can. I hope that I can one day transform my books into a movie.
