After dre?ing, my pulfe was examined again, and-found to heat 77 {trokes in a mi: nute, at 12 o'clock 70, I did not examine it further. When I firfi went into the bath, it produced very pleafant fenfations, but after fome time a ?ulhing of the face, and a dull pain of the head with oppre?ion about the region of the fcrobiculus cordis came on, and my refpiration was not as free as before im merfion. In about 15 minutes after immer flon, the water felt much cooler than at firfi, though the temperature did not vary more than two degrees during the whole of the experiment. Jufi before leaving the bath I was feized with {light cramps in both feet, and felt Chilly on filing out of the water.
