Albino vultures picking at road kill - that's what forensic psychologist Tori Vincent calls jump-suited technicians examining the body of Brad Coleman. Tori conducts a psychological autopsy on the poisoned university professor, despite objections from Detective Herb Morrison who calls her work "psychobabble." Tori claims Morrison had a charisma bypass. Morrison arrests Tori's former lover Steve DeMaio for the murder. Tori continues to investigate the crime while balancing her responsibilities to her twelve-year-old son and her dysfunctional sister with her career and her love life.
