Publisher's Synopsis
Imagine a world without religion; a world where religious beliefs and ideologies that once drove people apart have been erased from off the face of the Earth. Now we have Community, a philosophy and way of thinking that permeates every aspect of life in order to bring us together so we can live together in harmony. The militaries of the world have vastly downsized, with each nation only maintaining a force large enough for domestic security, no longer able to conduct large-scale offensive operations. The International Community Service Association now leads and guides this harmonious world through the Community of Nations. Among its responsibilities are protecting society from religious fanatics through use of the Community of Nations Special Forces. Religion has been recognized by mental health experts and other respected scientists as a deadly, infectious disease with no known cure. Because of this, those infected must be destroyed at all cost to prevent further infections. Over time, the CNSF systematically eliminated those professing various religions all over the world. There is now one last religious group left to be destroyed by the CNSF. Once this final mission is accomplished, the group will have met all its objectives and will be dissolved. When one looks at the decline in moral values that were once a primary characteristic of the American lifestyle, in many instances the problems began with the churches. A Perfect New World takes this premise to a horrifying, all to possible conclusion as it postulates what would happen if the church were to cease, taking her mandate to stand for truth seriously. Launching off from real-world events that are happening today, the result is an -anything goes- society where a pseudo-religious organization determines every aspect of society from who is allowed to run for office, to what you are allowed to read and think, while using peer pressure to attend Community Centers where speakers -preach- their message of -tolerance.- This tolerance results in stamping out that which they deem intolerant, which include the world's religions, especially Christianity. Yet, in spite of this of this organized attempt at mass brainwashing, a underground group survives, determined to bring America back to its biblical foundations. As with all Godless dysfunctional dystopias, a question must be addressed: If there is an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God who is all-knowing and all powerful and his creation decided to reject him, would this God voluntarily rollover and play dead?
