Turning my feelings off was the only way I could handle things. Now my sorrow has turned into unspeakable joy and the desire to help others.
My purpose for writing this book is to help people open their eyes and realize they don't have to allow the things that have happened in their past to define them. We have the power inside us to choose a better life for ourselves. Sometimes even when people have repented, were forgiven and changed their ways they still don't forgive themselves and allow others to hold things over them.
Remove yourself from people that continue to hurt you physically or mentally until they change their ways. You don't have to be anyone's doormat or punching bag and don't allow them to take your worth away. You deserve so much better and have so much worth with God. If you're stuck in a situation, pray and ask God to show you the way to change it. Just remember God loves you and hears your prayers.
God has a purpose for your life and will turn things around if you allow him to, there is so much more for your life, but God always gives us the choice.
I'm not going to tell you that it is going to be an easy fight but we need to fight the good fight of faith.
