Publisher's Synopsis
Liverpool, 1940. Freddie, a 12-year-old boy with a taste for adventure, becomes caught up in exciting events after he is bombed out of his house. The Germans plan a commando raid to gather intelligence about troop movements and other vital information for the High Command to assist in their invasion of Great Britain. The raid involves a U-boat, the local Home Guard and even the battleship Prince of Wales. With courage and a disregard for his own safety, Freddie is found in the thick of the action and even brings his friend Grace into danger.
