Junior Danny Lindberg's dream of getting his MBA and CPA, creating a huge acquirable business collided with freshman Juliet Skowron's faster paced dream of acquiring personal power by marrying someone who'd deliver wealth sooner. Juliet's roommate Marcy Hill spotted Dale Carlsson, someone she liked in high school, walking with Danny from USC to the Los Angeles Coliseum for the USC Texas football game in September 1967. Sitting together in the student section, Juliet made progress with Danny; Marcy made no progress with Dale. The following year, Juliet failed twice arranging Marcy's seduction of Dale, failed matching Roy Osteen, Danny's planned business partner, with Barbara Holland, a woman Juliet could manage. Dale eloping with Sondra Rogan destroyed Juliet's plan for Marcy, Marcy's hopes for Dale. Attempting to manipulate her older, more knowledgeable cousin Helen Stanley, Juliet arranged Helen meeting Roy. Juliet wanted Helen to follow the plan Juliet laid out. She didn't.
