Publisher's Synopsis
Vampire Curse: Imagine waking up one morning to find that you'd unknowingly become a vampire during the night. Can you picture the shock, not to mention the embarrassment of it all? Well, it happened to Leslie, a shy young girl, who now has to turn her whole life upside down to accommodate the inconveniences of being a dreaded and hated blood-sucking creature of the night. But worse is to follow. She discovers that she's being stalked by a senegar - a sinister and evil shadow entity - but for what purpose? Then, to compound her misery even further, her beloved uncle disappears, along with both of her parents. With the help of Samuel, her human friend, she enters an alternate dimension, filled with unimaginable horrors, in an attempt to locate her missing family. There is also the question of who, or what, is behind it all. One thing is for sure, however. If Leslie is somehow able to rescue her family and return alive from this land of vileness, then she'll be doomed to experience a lifetime of nightmares.
Vampire Friendly: Leslie is beginning to accept the fact that she's destined to be a vampire for life. She doesn't like it, but decides that nothing can be done about the situation. Vampirism does have some benefits, however. After all, she is immensely strong; can visit other dimensions and is able to create living creatures. How many other humans would be able to do that? But a new threat emerges to shatter the peace. A stolen family treasure leads Leslie and her uncle to a magical world of fairies and dragons where they discover an underlying evil taking place - an evil that they both believed was long gone. The solution is to take a trip back to the dreaded dimension of the werefrights and try to investigate matters before a war of annihilation between the fairies and the dragons takes place. On the way, they meet an irascible, impulsive, mischievous fairy, who has a surprise in store for Leslie. In fact, this surprise is so amazing that it leaves the stunned young vampire at a loss as to how to react.
