Publisher's Synopsis
Thank you for opening the cover and beginning a journey with me to learn about my life in a toxic workplace and my survival. This book is intended to provide hope to everyone who has been harmed in the workplace. While I draw on my experiences during my policing career it is not intended to portray as everyone's experience in policing nor is it the full story of my policing career. I have relied on my personal story to demonstrate the journey of workplace mental stress, the triggers, the opportunities missed, and the recovery. There are many times of fun and laughter which were not included in this book. There are many friendships I still maintain and many good people within the policing environment. Overall there is a lot of good done within the policing environment and we just need to learn a little more about how to improve on what we have. As you journey with me I hope you will look for the opportunities to draw similarities to your own stories and perhaps something you read here will help you in some small way. I was fortunate to have an incredible inner circle that stood beside me while I worked my way back from a dark place. Without them I may not ever have recovered to the place I am at now. To my sons and my inner circle, may you always be in the right place at the right time to help those who need support. Stand tall and face the adversities of life as you always have.
