Publisher's Synopsis
Anna Mae loves to solve mysteries. She is curious about everything and loves to solve cases for the people in her community. She works on cases with her friends Rosie and Susie. She once helped Miss Honey Apple find her cat! Anna Mae has thick curly hair and so does her friends. They are young African American girls. One day, while they are on a case, it begins to rain outside. Anna Mae's friend Rosie has straightened hair but when they get back home to play her hair is now puffy. Rosie doesn't like when her natural hair looks big and puffy. Since the girls are investigators, they do some research on why their hair has such a unique but beautiful texture. They learn that there hair is beautiful even though it is not straight and "neat." They crack the case of curls!!
