It is a beautifully-written novel written by American author Francis Lynde, who also wrote 'Stranded in the Arcady', 'Scientific Sprague', and 'The Master of Appleby'. He lived on Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, with his wife and children, until his death in 1930.
