Publisher's Synopsis

Void: After returning the body of Sky Seeker's original pilot back to his home planet, our adventurers find themselves led into another rescue mission by Sky Seeker. This time, they discover a mysterious alien, called Void, who appears to want nothing more than to become a solitary hermit, and to hide from all social contact. This wish makes for a prickly and defensive attitude, causing Sneak to question if they should have performed the rescue at all. But Sar can sense an intriguing complexity beneath this brusque and uninviting exterior - something vulnerable, but also something darkly dangerous. He urges his friends to accompany Void to a ruined temple where their alien visitor discovers the answer to a lifelong puzzle. This answer then points them all towards a cave where the final step of Void's transformation begins. The end result is as shocking as it is traumatic.

Future Present: Void is still having problems relating to her companions and Sneak isn't making it any easier for her. The tensions in the group mount to fever pitch when something very strange happens. A mysterious and cryptic call for help is heard, prompting Sky Seeker to investigate the anomaly. What they find is something so bizarre and unbelievable that no possible explanation can be found for its existence. However, further investigation leads to the formulation of an astounding theory - a theory which throws everyone into terrible danger when it is proven to be true. A horrible fate awaits all involved unless they can somehow find answers to the dilemma that faces them. Void appears to be at the center of the puzzle and, despite her reluctance, may yet end up being everyone's salvation. If she can survive, that is.
