Angioedema is the swelling of the deep dermis, subcutaneous, or sub mucosal tissue because of vascular leakage. Acute episodes regularly involve the lips, eyes, and face (see the picture below). However, angioedema can also have an effect on different elements of the frame, which includes respiration and gastrointestinal (gi) mucosa. Laryngeal swelling may be life-threatening.
