The relationship between periodontal disease (DP) and cardiovascular disease (DCV) has been speculated about three decades ago.
Second Kinane and Bouchard, in the context of the Consensus of the Sixth European Periodontology Workshop in 2008, a causal inference is incrementally established by me in a synthesis of striking data of various types of studies. Epidemiological studies (case-control studies, transversal studies and prosthetic studies of court) are usually the first to make an association between possible risk factors (exposures) and results of south adversity. Initially observed associations are subsequently examined in various form configurations to adjust possible confusion rates.
Various studies have established a strong association between these two pathologies, notably our studies conducted by Syrjanen et al. (1986), Mattilla et al. (1989), De Stefano et al. (1993), Beck et al. (1996). However, this association has been quite controversial for a long time, although physiotherapist mechanisms do not respond uniformly to obesity (Persson & Persson, 2008).
The risk factors of DCV have been studied since the Framingham Heart Study (Cueto et al., 2005). However, epidemiologic studies suggest that methods that are two-thirds of the risk, to develop these pathologies, have been explained by conventional risk factors (Wilson et al., 1998).
However, the majority of DCV surgeon manifestations in individuals classified as intermediate risk, based on current risk assessment, have been shown to increase interest in the prosecution of new risk factors and other diagnostic techniques to detect risk. population (Sydney C, Smith Jr., 2006).
