Publisher's Synopsis
In the last few decades, the Minamata convention where WHO decided to phase out the mercury-based dental materials owing to their ill effect on humans. This accelerates the research work in dental resin-based hybrid composite materials. Focusing on the target, this research work encompasses designing and development of dental resin-based hybrid composite materials, their laboratory fabrication, and characterization. The aim is to understand the combined effect of nano-hydroxyapatite and micro Titanium Oxide (TiO2) on the dental performance of the BIS-GMA matrix for dental restorative applications. It is found that reinforcement has improved the physical, mechanical, and dental performance of the dental resin.
