Publisher's Synopsis
Authors Note: THIS IS AN ADULT ADVENTURE FOR AGES 18 and up. This module starts as a campaign setting. It is a place, with certain situations that could happen, or not. It is up to the players and the Game Master how the story will turn out. There is no linear story line to follow. The setting will eventually become a dungeon crawl with a goal in mind but never the final outcome. It needs to be said that this module, and the parts to follow, contain graphic imagery and adult situations. It is up to the players and the Game Master on how far it will go. Please keep that in mind, and most of all, have fun! The Kingdom was plagued by raiding troll parties. Simple farming homes outside of the secure walls of the City were invaded in the middle of the night by malicious creatures with foul intent. The young were killed and eaten, sometimes right there as the parents watched helplessly in horror. Most of the men and women were killed, those that were spared were dragged back to the mountain cave 50 miles across the wilderness. The monarch, after some time, had an outpost constructed to monitor the raiding parties and keep them at bay, away from the kingdom walls. Soon everything quieted down and the trolls became managed. The monarch then reduced the amount of troops from 50 stationed guards to only 30. These men became bored and a tavern was later constructed, owned and operated by an elderly couple named Marta and Henry. Marta had become afflicted with a recurring vision of a captured princess within the halls of the mountain cave, the trolls her captors. Many an adventurer has entered that cave in search of this ghostly princess that visits Marta's dreams, but none have come back. Only exaggerated tales that grow exponentially through bored and drunken lips can be heard in the Xanthanian tavern and inn. No one really knows if the tales to be true, but a high priced bounty is now placed on her ghostly head and a new set of adventurers are ready for the task at hand....... This module is compatible with the PATHFINDER core rules and any D20 system
