Lenape Valley is an idyllic, rural village in the far northwest New Jersey Highlands. With its beautiful village center, magnificent old houses and stunning scenery, it is an exceptional location for Rob and Kate Hart to raise their daughter, Susan. With Rob's new job and a new home, the Harts find Lenape Valley to be heaven on earth. Nevertheless, Rob and Kate soon begin to notice that something strange is afoot in Lenape Valley, emanating from a long-since forgotten folktale of a group of children so evil that the village took great pains to eliminate any and all evidence of their existence. And in time, Rob and Kate's trepidation evolves into horror; that they have been lured to Lenape Valley for one reason-for their child, Susan.
