"La cuarta taifa" (The fourth taifa), is the first novel written by J. J. Merelo, and published under a Creative Commons license. It presents a plausible near future where more and more small independent states appear throughout Europe. In this context the city of Granada, in Southern Spain, proclaims its independence, and some politicians propose to reduce the legal coming of age to 14 years so teenagers can vote. The corruption, conflicting interests and personal lives of the characters are developed in the story. A fun original read.
