A short collection of poetry about and photography of cats by Robert M. Chute. About the poet: A graduate of The University of Maine and The Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, he is Professor Emeritus in Biology from Bates College. His scientific research and publication involved areas of hibernation physiology, parasitology, and environmental studies. His poetry series, Thirteen Moons, has been republished with translations in French and Passamquoddy. He received the Maine State chap book award for Samuel Sewall Sails For Home and Beloit Poetry Journal's Chad Walsh Award for the poem, Heat Wave in Concord. His most recent separate publications are Bent Offerings (boxed three chap book set) from Sheltering Pines Press, Reading Nature from Just Write Books, and Essays In All Directions from Moon Pie Press. He is an active member of Veterans For Peace. He lives in Brunswick, Maine with his wife of 62 years, Virginia Chute.
