Publisher's Synopsis
This book and the tools within it is designed to help individuals who struggle with anger. It can be used in a 1:1 setting or it can be used by individuals who are facilitating an anger management group. I utilize both options in my Coaching Practice. The concepts and skills presented are best learned by practice, repeated review and by completing the homework that accompanies each session. Before becoming a Christian I struggled with extreme anger, I was angry all the time. Something had to change, I began to heal my wounds and learn tools to help me identify triggers and process past and present hurts. Once I became a Christian I struggled with understanding how anger and sin were connected. I was such a blessing to learn that not all anger is sin. Since then, I have worked with so many individuals that struggle with anger and feel shame because they think it is a sin and they too experience a disconnect that feels as vast as the ocean. Within these pages there are tools to help identify unhealthy anger and the damage it can cause in our lives and relationships. Here is the realness, everyone struggles, to varying degrees, with anger. Knowing how to manage and express our anger in a godly and healthy manner is key. Using this workbook as part of an Anger Management Program can help identify and process anger in a healthy way. This material is wonderful facilitator resource for anyone who leads a 12-week anger management group with individuals who are Christians and are needing material that is God centered. This workbook will help a facilitator guide individuals as they develop the skills necessary to successfully manage anger. This workbook is unique in that is was written from a Christian perspective.
