After this novel, the followers of Holmes went crazy and the author had to truly resurrect his character.That's why I think that in this novel the author decides to hide Holmes a little and give Watson more prominence, which gives him a different touch.In addition to the role of Watson, something that makes him very interesting is the place where the events take place.
