Publisher's Synopsis
Culture change in safety is difficult at best when hazards are known and analyzed and hazard controls are provided. However, when individual employees are required to identify hazards before they can even determine what hazard controls to use - in real time before an injury or exposure takes place - the situation becomes even more difficult. Situational awareness and conditioning are needed to even allow for hazard identification as a prerequisite to hazard controls. This is Situational Safety and it is imperative to injury and exposure prevention.
