Yoga came into my life at a point where I was getting increasingly frustrated with my decreasing flexibility. Things that I used to be able to accomplish suddenly became much harder, often leading to unwanted muscle aches and strain. The worst part was that my decreasing flexibility was starting to hinder the active life that I wanted to lead.
I tried various suggestions from friends, most of which revolved around a more active stretching program. The results were uninspiring to say the least. Then a close friend suggested I try yoga, that it not only helped them with their flexibility, but it also gave them an additional mental boost. Now many years later, I can say that the physical and mental benefits of yoga cannot be understated; it is truly one of the most incredible physical activities that we can do. Not only has it restored my flexibility, it has improved it, making me stronger, and less prone to strains and aches. I can't imagine living my life without it.
