Publisher's Synopsis

Sarah and Catherine were the "shade girls" because they wore hats, sunscreen and protected their skin from the harmful effects of the sun. The "sun tan girls," Leslie and Peggy, never wore hats, protective clothing, or sunscreen while outside in the sun, and visited sun tan parlors whenever possible. Their competition and dislike for each other began at a school science fair project over the effects of the sun. The "sun tan girls" did not like the know it all "shade girls." However, a picture of the girls years later shows that the "shade girls" were right. FOR CHILDREN AGE 5 AND ABOVE
